The Bank of Russia published its latest commentary on inflation expectations and consumer sentiment, reporting that households expected prices to rise by an average 14.2% over the next 12 months in September 2026, up from 13.7% in August and above levels recorded in 2024 and 2025. Companies’ price expectations also increased in September. At the same time, the consumer sentiment index rose, reflecting stronger household assessments and expectations concerning personal wealth, economic development and consumer market conditions.

The Bank of Russia reported that households’ 12-month inflation expectations rose to 14.2% in September from 13.7% in August, exceeding levels recorded in 2024 and 2025. Companies’ price expectations and the consumer sentiment index also increased.
