The Swiss National Bank has appointed Ulrich Bindseil as Director of Study Center Gerzensee, its educational foundation, effective Jan. 1, 2027. He will succeed Martin Brown, who has led the center for nearly five years. Bindseil has held leadership and strategic roles at the European Central Bank spanning monetary policy, market infrastructure and payments. Brown will become Head of the Swiss National Bank’s Economic Affairs division on Oct. 1, 2026.
