The Central Bank of Russia’s June Monitoring of Businesses showed a softer business climate, with the Business Climate Index falling to 1.1 points from 1.7 points in May. Firms reported slight month-on-month improvements in current demand and output, but their expectations for the next three months became more modest. Businesses’ price expectations declined for a fifth consecutive month and moved overall below the 2021–2022 range. The release also included the central bank’s first survey on corporate use of artificial intelligence, which found that one in seven enterprises across the economy uses AI technologies, with service companies leading adoption.
