The Hong Kong Monetary Authority published the key analytical accounts of the Exchange Fund as at end-February 2026, as part of the International Monetary Fund’s Special Data Dissemination Standard (SDDS) reporting. Foreign assets rose by HKD32.8 billion over the month to HKD3,630.1 billion. The monetary base totalled HKD2,071.5 billion, claims on Hong Kong’s private sector were HKD371.3 billion, and foreign liabilities stood at HKD72.5 billion. The HKMA also reiterated that it issues four Exchange Fund data releases each month, with the remaining March 2026 releases scheduled for 31 March covering the SDDS template on international reserves and foreign currency liquidity and the Exchange Fund abridged balance sheet and currency board account.
