The Albania Financial Services Authority published the agenda for its Board meeting scheduled for 29 April 2025, covering draft secondary legislation and a set of supervisory and authorisation matters spanning insurance, securities issuance and private pensions. Items for consideration include draft regulations on life insurance linked to participation in Collective Investment Undertakings with a public offering and on the form and procedure for registering the offering document for the issuance of debt securities, as well as the proposed registration of Credins Bank’s offering document for a bond issue. The Board is also due to review the results of thematic inspections at Albsig, Atlantik, Intersig Vienna Insurance Group, Sigma VIG and Sigal Uniqa Group Austria, and thematic inspections on the progress of insurers’ 2024 compensation fund. Further draft decisions relate to assessing the compliance of Raiffeisen Invest and the Raiffeisen voluntary pension fund, and Albsig Invest and the Albsig and Smart Pension voluntary pension funds, plus the suitability of depositary activities at American Investment Bank, First Investment Bank Albania and Banka e Tiranës, against Law No. 76/2023 on private pension funds and implementing regulations. The agenda also includes a proposed amendment to Insig Jetë’s statute following a capital increase, approval of an insurance agent activity, and an information item on risk-level categorisation based on 2024 self-assessment forms for PPP and FT. The meeting is scheduled to start at 10:00 and also includes routine approvals of prior minutes and the meeting agenda.
