The Central Bank of Montenegro announced that Governor Irena Radovic met Switzerland’s newly appointed non-resident ambassador, Anne Lugon-Moulin, to launch a dialogue on strengthening cooperation between the central bank and Swiss institutions in central banking, the economy and finance. Discussions included potential cooperation with the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) and the Central Bank of Montenegro joining a special Bilateral Support Programme for central banks aimed at improving the regulatory framework and supporting the central bank’s modernisation. The central bank linked this cooperation to building institutional capacity as it advances towards membership in the European System of Central Banks.
