The Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) announced that it and Abu Dhabi Global Market’s Financial Services Regulatory Authority (ADGM FSRA) co-hosted a high-level roundtable in Hong Kong focused on opportunities for Hong Kong asset managers in ADGM, including access to investors in ADGM and the wider United Arab Emirates through the UAE fund passporting regime. More than 20 senior executives from Hong Kong asset managers attended the roundtable, led by SFC Chief Executive Officer Julia Leung and ADGM FSRA Chief Executive Officer Emmanuel Givanakis. The event built on a Memorandum of Understanding signed in May 2025 to enhance cooperation on supervision of investment managers of collective investment schemes based in either market. ADGM FSRA also delivered an industry seminar on regulatory requirements for cross-border fund distributions, attended by more than 30 representatives from Hong Kong’s asset management industry.
