The Asia/Pacific Group on Money Laundering completed its final standards training course of 2026, bringing together 44 participants from 23 member jurisdictions to strengthen their understanding of Financial Action Task Force standards on anti-money laundering and counterterrorist financing and measures against illicit financing. The course, held in Kuala Lumpur from Sept. 28 to Oct. 2, was the first to combine participants from Asia and the Pacific. Attendees represented financial intelligence, supervision and regulation, law enforcement and the judiciary. Bank Negara Malaysia hosted the course, while the APG’s Pacific capacity development program sponsored six participants from Pacific jurisdictions. A Pacific-focused course is scheduled for February 2027 to continue training on money laundering, terrorist financing and proliferation financing risks.

The Asia/Pacific Group on Money Laundering completed its final 2026 standards course for 44 participants from 23 jurisdictions, marking the first course to combine attendees from Asia and the Pacific. A Pacific-focused course is scheduled for February 2027.
