The Insurance and Private Pension Regulation and Supervision Agency of Türkiye has put into effect an amendment to the regulation on insurance support services, requiring support organizations used by insurers to meet defined qualifications and standards. The measure applies to providers of assistance services offered alongside insurance policies, including roadside assistance, towing and emergency support, and is intended to improve timely access to help in cases such as accidents, breakdowns and damage while reducing customer harm linked to service providers. The amendment introduces a minimum capital requirement for support organizations and sets criteria for their establishment, shareholding structure, organization and operating principles. These requirements are designed to ensure that such firms have sufficient financial strength, technical capacity and institutional structure to deliver the services used by insurers.
