The Vietnam State Securities Commission has published the legislative dossier for a draft law amending several provisions of the Securities Law and is seeking comments from relevant agencies, organizations and individuals. The consultation is part of the Ministry of Finance's preparation to submit the amendments to the National Assembly under the registered timetable. The draft follows the Government's 7 April 2026 resolution on cutting and simplifying administrative procedures and business-related regulations, which listed the Securities Law among the texts proposed for amendment. In preparing the package, the Ministry of Finance reviewed implementation of the 2019 Securities Law, as amended in 2024, and examined related policies and legal requirements to identify provisions that need updating. The published dossier includes the draft law, an explanatory report, a review of implementation, a review of relevant Party policy, legislation and international treaties, assessments covering administrative procedures, delegation and decentralization, gender equality and ethnic policy, a policy codification note, and a comparison with the current law.
