The Japan Financial Services Agency has opened recruitment for one staff member to support financial monitoring work, focused mainly on the supervision of electronic payment agencies and financial service intermediaries. The role covers monitoring related to system risks for financial institutions and registration examinations and ongoing monitoring for these entities. Applicants are expected to have practical experience and specialist knowledge in IT-related areas such as IT governance, system development, system auditing, information security and risk management. The position is based at the Financial Services Agency in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, with standard working hours of 9:30 to 18:15 on weekdays. Employment is in principle for around two years from April 2026, with potential renewal depending on performance and operational needs, and the start date to be agreed. Applications must arrive by 27 February 2026 and may close earlier if sufficient applications are received. Selection is via document screening followed by an interview, and candidates may be asked to submit a short report to confirm expertise.
