The National Bank of Hungary and the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry have concluded a six-point cooperation agreement aimed at promoting sustainable economic growth, including a commitment to jointly analyse economic processes to support the development of the Hungarian economy. Under the agreement, the institutions will monitor businesses’ export activity and growth, with particular attention to price developments and labour market trends, and will run joint research projects to facilitate economic policy decisions. The cooperation also includes identifying small and medium-sized enterprises with strong growth potential and establishing joint platforms with domestic financial institutions, knowledge centres and universities, as well as supporting each other in preparing business climate surveys and sharing survey results for analysis and research. The National Bank of Hungary will contribute its theoretical knowledge, while the Chamber will help the central bank reach companies.
