Moldova's National Commission for Financial Markets hosted a strategic meeting with experts from Bpifrance, France’s public investment bank, as part of the EU4Innovation East mission, focused on strengthening Moldova’s innovation financing infrastructure. The discussions centred on creating a Fund of Funds to support startups and attract venture capital, alongside work to align local regulation with European Union standards for alternative investment vehicles. Led by CNPF Chair Dumitru Budianschi, the meeting addressed legal framework harmonisation, investor protection enhancements, and measures to facilitate access to finance for Moldova’s innovative enterprises. The visit formed part of the EU4Innovation East regional initiative, funded by the European Union, co-financed by the French Government, and implemented by Expertise France, supporting startup and innovation ecosystems across Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine.
