The Ukraine National Commission on Securities and Stock Market published an operational update on efforts to help clients of Freedom Finance Ukraine LLC recover their assets, noting that depositaries, banks and other institutions are involved in accelerating the payment process. By the end of September, 1,055 individuals and legal entities had received compensation. Compensation requests were submitted via the National Bank of Ukraine, the Central Securities Depository, the interim head of Freedom Finance Ukraine LLC, or PJSC Settlement Center for Servicing Contracts in Financial Markets. From August to mid-October, the Commission processed and satisfied 125 applications related to data updates and succession, and it is considering five applications from persons associated with a sanctioned person. The Commission also reported handling 146 phone calls and 57 email appeals and directing clients to a step-by-step infographic available through its official channels.
