The Dominican Republic's Pensions Superintendency (SIPEN) awarded its Here We Know About Pensions seal to ALTIO SAFI, recognizing the firm for providing pension education to its employees. SIPEN said 93% of ALTIO SAFI's workforce completed the training, well above the 70% participation threshold required for the seal. ALTIO SAFI is the 24th company whose employees have strengthened their understanding of the Dominican pension system through the program. The program is aimed at improving knowledge of the pension system across companies, public institutions and other interested organizations. During the award ceremony, Superintendent Francisco A. Torres also said companies that make additional contributions for employees already have access, through three pension fund administrators, to Collective Supplementary Pension Plan accounts that carry no tax cost. Those accounts are separate from regular savings accounts and allow early withdrawals for children's higher education, a first home and health needs.
