The Indonesia Financial Services Authority has published an update on its financial education program for scouts aged 11 to 15 at the 2026 National Scout Jamboree. Conducted with the Ministry of Finance, Bank Indonesia, the Indonesia Deposit Insurance Corporation and the National Scout Movement, the program focuses on saving, distinguishing needs from wants, managing money and using financial products and services according to individual needs and means. A hybrid financial literacy event was attended by 3,500 scouts, while about 7,500 participants visited the Financial Village Tent for interactive talks, games, quizzes and industry-led education. The activities also explain the roles of Indonesia’s financial authorities and build on financial competency requirements developed by the authority and the National Scout Movement since 2023. The jamboree’s financial education activities run on Aug. 15-16 and Aug. 18-20, 2026. Selected participants will also visit the authority’s headquarters from Aug. 18-20 for direct instruction on its regulatory, supervisory, financial literacy and consumer protection functions.
