The Inter-Governmental Action Group against Money Laundering in West Africa has issued a call for expressions of interest from audit and accounting firms to carry out the audit of the accounts of the Project to Support the Protection of Child Victims of Violations of their Rights, or PAPEV, which is being implemented by the ECOWAS Centre for Gender Development. The notice is aimed at duly constituted firms and forms part of the ECOWAS Centre for Gender Development's 2025 programme of activities. Participation is open to independent audit firms established in the ECOWAS region, either individually or in consortiums, subject to the exclusion, anti-corruption and conflict-of-interest provisions in the ECOWAS Public Procurement Code. Applicants must be members of a national accounting or auditing institute that belongs to the International Federation of Accountants and must show experience in public-entity audit work, including at least seven financial audit assignments over the past 10 years and at least five similar audit or expenditure-audit assignments financed by technical and financial partners over the same period. Required staffing includes a chartered accountant, a head of mission, two senior auditors and a contracting specialist auditor. The ECOWAS Commission plans to shortlist six to eight firms based on the applications received, with the shortlist remaining valid for 24 months. Shortlisted firms may later be invited to submit detailed proposals for project or programme audit and expenditure-verification assignments, including under multi-award framework contracts. Expressions of interest must be submitted by 2 July 2025 at 11:30 GMT Dakar time.

The Inter-Governmental Action Group against Money Laundering in West Africa has launched a call for expressions of interest from audit and accounting firms to audit the PAPEV grant accounts for the ECOWAS Centre for Gender Development. Eligible ECOWAS-based firms must meet specified professional membership, staffing and track-record requirements. The ECOWAS Commission will shortlist six to eight firms, with submissions due by 2 July 2025.
