The Ukraine National Commission on Securities and Stock Market announced that it has signed a protocol with Germany's Federal Financial Supervisory Authority BaFin to expand cooperation on capital markets supervision. The updated partnership adds new workstreams on investor compensation, the use of data in supervision and the development of post-trade market infrastructure. A central focus is data-driven supervision. This covers approaches to collecting and analyzing information, early risk detection, handling market participant reporting, using data in inspections and investigations, and developing related technology solutions. The cooperation also continues broader exchanges on supervisory processes and staff professional capabilities. BaFin has supported the Ukrainian commission's reform and institutional capacity-building efforts since 2024, and the cooperation is set to continue through the end of 2026.
