The Ukraine National Commission on Securities and Stock Market said its chair Oleksii Semeniuk and commissioner Maksym Libanov met Euronext representatives in Paris to discuss cooperation on developing Ukraine’s capital market. The sides agreed to continue their dialogue and work on specific areas of cooperation, including technical support, training programmes and possible pilot projects. Discussions focused on modernising exchange infrastructure, improving market liquidity, introducing modern trading and clearing technologies, and bringing the regulatory environment closer to European Union standards. The meeting also covered potential cooperation on listing Ukrainian issuers on international markets, developing capital market instruments including bonds and structured products, and implementing best practices in corporate governance and disclosure. The Commission presented the exchange as part of its broader work to integrate Ukraine’s capital market with international financial markets, while Euronext expressed interest in deeper cooperation and support for reforms aimed at a transparent and competitive capital market in Ukraine.
