The Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina has launched a call for research papers to support and disseminate work on financial sector development, with selected papers to be presented in a seminar series and published on the central bank’s website. Researchers from academic and policy institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina and abroad are invited to submit proposals. Submissions must be provided as concept notes for planned research or extended abstracts for papers underway or completed, and will undergo blind review. Topics include banking, nonbank finance, capital markets, financial system infrastructure, monetary policy, household and business finance, balance of payments, and economic activity. Concept notes must be in English, no more than 800 words, and set out authorship and affiliations, topic area, a summary and rationale, and research questions, objectives, data and methodology (and tentative findings where relevant); papers submitted for the programme must not be submitted for publication elsewhere while under consideration. Key dates set out by the central bank include 8 May 2026 for concept notes/extended abstracts, acceptance notifications by 20 May 2026, full papers by 19 June 2026, notification of selected papers by 30 June 2026, presentations in Sarajevo in the second half of July 2026 (format to be decided), revised papers by 19 August 2026, and publication of accepted papers on 31 August 2026.
