The Central Bank of Poland published monetary statistics showing that the M3 money supply increased by PLN 46.3bn in December 2024, reaching PLN 2,480.0bn at month-end, driven mainly by higher deposits and other claims of households and non-financial corporations. Household deposits and other claims included in M3 rose by PLN 21.3bn (1.6%) to PLN 1,325.9bn, while those of non-financial corporations increased by PLN 14.7bn (2.9%) to PLN 523.8bn. Over the same period, debt of other financial institutions fell by PLN 2.4bn (1.1%) to PLN 227.9bn, debt of non-financial institutions declined by PLN 1.7bn (0.4%) to PLN 420.8bn, and household debt decreased by PLN 1.4bn (0.2%) to PLN 797.9bn. Net debt of central government entities increased by PLN 32.6bn (7.6%) to PLN 458.3bn.
