The National Bank of Ukraine published an update on its special fundraising account for Ukraine’s defence forces, outlining the account’s current balance, recent inflows and cumulative allocations since it was opened on 24 February 2022. As of 1 February 2026, the account balance exceeded UAH 26.2 billion after receiving more than UAH 4.2 billion in January, with cumulative receipts since the full-scale invasion totalling nearly UAH 151 billion (equivalent), including almost UAH 129 billion remitted from abroad in foreign currencies. The NBU reported allocating almost UAH 126 billion to defence needs, including more than UAH 3.3 billion in January 2026, led by transfers to the Defence Procurement Agency (over UAH 70,666 million) and the Ministry of Defense (over UAH 38,671 million, including UAH 2,004 million on 12 January 2026), alongside funding for the National Guard (over UAH 1,649 million), National Police (UAH 1,650 million), the State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection (over UAH 8,179 million) and other security and defence bodies. The NBU said information on the special accounts is updated daily on its website.
