The Central Bank of Peru published updated mortgage credit data showing the outstanding stock of housing loans increased 5.8% year on year in June 2025 to PEN 72,585 million, up 0.7% from May. The expansion was driven mainly by mortgages denominated in soles, which grew 6.9% year on year to PEN 67,801 million and also rose 0.7% month on month. Dollarisation of mortgage credit remained low at 6.6% in June, continuing its decline from 7.9% in December 2023.
