Expectations for household income and spending eased to 98 (down 3) and 108 (down 3), while views on domestic economic conditions fell sharply, with the current conditions index at 68 (down 18) and the outlook at 79 (down 10). One-year-ahead expected inflation was 2.9% (up 0.2 percentage points), while three-year- and five-year-ahead expected inflation were both 2.6%. The survey was conducted from April 9 to 16, 2026, covering 2,500 households nationwide with 2,262 responses.
