The Financial System Supervisory Authority of Bolivia concluded stakeholder dialogue sessions to develop the 2026-2031 National Financial Inclusion Strategy, advancing previously established priorities for broader, safer and more equitable access to financial services. Contributions from vulnerable groups, financial institutions and productive sectors will inform measures aimed at improving household financial health and economic autonomy. The strategy will promote secure mobile wallets and QR-code payments to expand access across Bolivia’s 336 municipalities. It will also strengthen financial education and fraud protection, while adjusting financial regulation to provide legal certainty and encourage investment. Participants included young people, women entrepreneurs, older adults and bioeconomy businesses from the Amazon, Chaco and Chiquitanía regions, supported by national authorities and international organizations. The government plans to formalize the strategy through a supreme decree during the current administration, followed by supervision, adaptation of financial services and dissemination of the measures.
