The National Securities and Stock Market Commission of Ukraine published an overview of financial supervision models across nine jurisdictions, contrasting dedicated securities regulators with authorities that oversee multiple financial sectors or combine market regulation with central banking. Despite these structural differences, the overview identifies common functions including licensing, disclosure oversight, market abuse enforcement, fraud warnings and investor protection. Against this context, the Commission highlighted its deeper integration into international enforcement cooperation. Following its July 14, 2026 signing of the International Organization of Securities Commissions Multilateral Memorandum of Understanding, it began its first international investigations in August in response to requests from foreign regulators. The framework enables direct information exchange and joint work on violations, with information restricted to the relevant investigation and kept confidential.
