Argentina Superintendency of Insurance Superintendent Guillermo Plate opened the 20th National Insurance Forum in Córdoba and used the event to restate the supervisor’s focus on modernising the insurance market through greater transparency, more intelligent supervision and a stronger system to protect policyholders. Plate emphasised the role of insurance advisers (Productores Asesores de Seguros, PAS) as a pillar of the sector, citing their direct relationship with insureds as central to trust and operational transparency, and described them as partners of the supervisor in policyholder protection. His remarks also linked the modernisation effort to maintaining order in the market, ensuring insurers’ solvency and reinforcing confidence. The forum programme included panels on artificial intelligence in insurance, digital marketing, sustainability, financial education and SME development, and showcased tools such as an Executive Insurance Programme aimed at professionalising PAS.
