The Bank of Cape Verde has announced a recognition ceremony for Financial Education Ambassadors under the National Financial Education Plan (PNEF) 2021–2024, marking 10 years of financial education promotion in the country. The initiative honored institutions and individuals whose work supported stronger financial literacy, financial inclusion and protection of financial consumers. The central bank framed financial education as a core element in enabling more informed and responsible economic decisions, with implications for household well-being, financial system resilience and the country’s economic development. It also highlighted the role of its institutional partners, whose participation it described as central to the success of financial education initiatives over the past decade. The ceremony was given added context by taking place in the year in which the Bank of Cape Verde is hosting the sixth Meeting of the Central Banks of Portuguese-Speaking Countries on Education and Financial Inclusion.
