The Czech Republic Ministry of Finance organised a study visit for a delegation from the Central Bank of Iraq on 26–27 May, enabling an exchange of knowledge and practical experience. Experts from the Czech National Bank also participated, with coordination support from the embassies in Baghdad and Prague. Discussions covered digital transformation in the banking sector, electronic payment systems and cards, banking services, human resource management, state budget management, financial market supervision and payment service providers, as well as related institutional cooperation. The visit formed part of the Ministry’s Technical Cooperation Programme, implemented since 2007 in line with the Czech Strategy for Foreign Development Cooperation.
