The Spanish Securities Commission (CNMV) has appointed Soledad García Santa as the new head of its Bilbao delegation, replacing Concepción Cabezudo. García Santa previously worked in the Market Surveillance Unit and has more than 20 years’ experience at the CNMV. The Bilbao delegation was established in 2021 to strengthen the CNMV’s presence in the Basque financial ecosystem and improve service to local investors and supervised entities, including through engagement with key sector participants, public events, meetings and financial education activities. García Santa has been tasked with reinforcing the delegation’s existing workstreams, while the CNMV recognised Cabezudo’s contribution since the office’s creation.
