The National Bank of Moldova published April 2026 bank cash desk statistics showing that cash disbursements from banks exceeded cash receipts by MDL 776 million. Cash receipts totaled MDL 15,261 million, up MDL 687 million, or 4.7 percent, from the same month a year earlier, while cash disbursements reached MDL 16,037 million, up MDL 378 million, or 2.4 percent. Receipts from sales of consumer goods were the main source of cash inflows, amounting to MDL 9,344 million, or 61.2 percent of total receipts, an increase of MDL 639 million, or 7.3 percent. The published totals include transactions in commemorative coins.
