The National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic, together with the Antimonopoly Regulation Service under the Ministry of Economy and Commerce and the State Tax Service, published the results of on-site monitoring of trade and service enterprises and markets aimed at supporting full implementation of national-standard QR codes for cashless payment of goods and services. Of 568 inspected sites, 499 were equipped with QR codes. Where QR codes were missing, the authorities carried out explanatory measures on the obligation to comply with Kyrgyz legislation and the Government Resolution of 23 December 2015 No. 869 on consumer rights protection, which requires acceptance of non-cash payments, including via national-standard QR codes. These outreach activities will continue through the end of 2025.
