China's Ministry of Justice, together with the People's Bank of China, the National Financial Regulatory Administration, the China Securities Regulatory Commission and the State Administration of Foreign Exchange, has published a draft Financial Law and invited public feedback, positioning the proposal as part of efforts to strengthen the financial rule-of-law framework, enhance financial supervision and address financial risks. The Financial Law of the People's Republic of China (Draft) is published alongside an explanatory note. Comments can be submitted through the Ministry of Justice’s legislative consultation channel, as well as by email or post. The consultation period runs from 20 March to 19 April 2026.
