The Central Bank of Cyprus has published its summary balance sheet as at 30 April 2026, reporting total assets and total liabilities of EUR 27.656 billion. The asset side was led by intra-Eurosystem claims of EUR 17.996 billion and euro-denominated securities of euro area residents of EUR 5.997 billion. Other assets included gold and gold receivables of EUR 1.786 billion, foreign currency claims on non-euro area residents of EUR 1.125 billion, euro claims on non-euro area residents of EUR 594.0 million, and foreign currency claims on euro area residents of EUR 25.1 million. On the liability side, the largest items were euro area credit institutions' monetary policy-related liabilities of EUR 16.631 billion, liabilities in euro to other euro area residents of EUR 3.932 billion including EUR 3.720 billion to general government, and banknotes in circulation of EUR 3.246 billion. Revaluation accounts stood at EUR 1.791 billion, provisions at EUR 631.6 million, the International Monetary Fund special drawing rights account at EUR 501.0 million, and capital and reserves at EUR 345.0 million.
