The Central Bank of Aruba published its August 2026 monthly tables, showing continued growth in money and credit alongside higher inflation and tourism activity. Broad money reached AWG 7.64 billion, up 16.8% from August 2025, while claims on the private sector rose 15.3% to AWG 5.10 billion. Consumer prices increased 2.7% year over year, compared with 2.2% in July. Broad money increased by AWG 123.7 million during August as AWG 134.1 million of net domestic money creation more than offset a foreign funds outflow of AWG 10.4 million. Enterprise credit rose 21.7% year over year and credit to individuals increased 9.5%. Net foreign assets stood at AWG 4.38 billion, up 22.6% from a year earlier but slightly lower than in July. Stay over visitor numbers increased 9.8% year over year in August, while visitor nights rose 11.4%. Commercial banks reported a capital to risk weighted assets ratio of 27.7%, a liquidity ratio of 31.9% and an unchanged loan to deposit ratio of 64.4%.
