The Payment Systems Regulator (PSR) Board has confirmed the appointment of Ashley Alder as its new Chair, effective 26 January 2026, following the end of Aidene Walsh’s term. Alder is also Chair of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), with the appointment coming as the Government plans to consolidate the PSR into the FCA. Walsh will step down from her role as a non-executive director on the FCA Board, with her last day in both roles set for 25 January 2026.
