The Luxembourg Ministry of Finance reported that Finance Minister Gilles Roth signed a memorandum of understanding with Vietnamese Finance Minister Ngo Van Tuan to strengthen cooperation between the two countries’ financial centers. The agreement covers expertise sharing, financial innovation, talent development and sustainable economic opportunities, building on economic ties that have made Luxembourg one of Vietnam’s leading European investors. Roth also met Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange representatives to discuss capital markets, digital finance and sustainable finance, following a 2022 sustainable finance agreement between the Luxembourg and Ho Chi Minh stock exchanges. Talks with Truong Minh Huy Vu, vice chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee and chairman of the Vietnam International Financial Centre, explored cooperation between Luxembourg’s financial center and Vietnam’s planned international financial center.
