South Korea's Ministry of Economy and Finance has established a permanent cooperation channel between its Export Plus Support Team and South Gyeongsang Province to provide locally tailored assistance to exporters. The initiative will coordinate responses to regional companies’ difficulties in obtaining export finance, overseas certifications and skilled workers amid logistics, energy and trade uncertainty. The support team outlined existing certification assistance, workforce measures for young employees at regional small and midsize enterprises, and a real-time channel for reporting export obstacles. Related outreach included an Oct. 8 briefing in Busan where policy finance institutions presented export finance programs and offered individual consultations. A further session on Oct. 22 will provide shipbuilding and machinery exporters with information on overseas technical regulations, certification consulting and related support programs.
