The Egypt Financial Regulatory Authority granted four companies approvals covering health care program administration, debt collection and securities trading. A temporary license for Al Ahly Health Services brought the number of companies temporarily licensed as third-party administrators of health care programs to nine, alongside one company licensed for specialized medical insurance as a health maintenance organization. The authority also registered the Egyptian Company for Services and Collection as the third company authorized to collect amounts owed to nonbank finance providers and is reviewing applications from more than 30 other companies. Prime Securities received approval to trade government securities and financial instruments in the secondary market, while Arabeya Online Brokerage was approved to handle global depositary receipts corresponding to securities listed on the Egyptian Exchange.
