The European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority’s Board of Supervisors elected Stavros Konstantas, Director of Occupational and Private Insurance Supervision at the Bank of Greece, to its Management Board. He replaces Ante Žigman following Žigman’s appointment as Governor of the Croatian National Bank. Konstantas’ two-and-a-half-year term began on Aug. 13, 2026, with an option for one additional term. The Management Board comprises EIOPA’s chairperson and six representatives of national supervisory authorities and is responsible for ensuring that the authority fulfills its mandate.
