The National Bank of Georgia announced that, by decision of its Governor, Beka Dochviri will serve as the bank’s Executive Director. He previously headed the National Bank of Georgia’s Legal Department. Dochviri’s career includes serving as Deputy Chairman of “Sakpatent” (the Georgian National Intellectual Property Center) from 2021 to 2023 and as Parliamentary Secretary of the Government of Georgia and Deputy Head of Administration from 2019 to 2021, alongside senior legal roles in several ministries. The update follows recent leadership changes at the National Bank of Georgia, including the President of Georgia’s appointment of Natia Turnava as Governor in February 2025, the Parliament of Georgia’s approval of four new board members on 6 February to bring the board to nine members, and the board’s appointments of Ekaterine Mikabadze as First Vice-Governor and Nino Jeladze as Vice-Governor.
