The European Financial Reporting Advisory Group has published a series of nine testimonial videos featuring European small and medium-sized enterprises that used the VSME standard for the first time to prepare sustainability reports. The release is designed to give other SMEs practical insight into why companies chose to report, the challenges they faced and the lessons they learned. EFRAG also invited SMEs that used the VSME standard for the 2024 or 2025 reporting years to submit their reports to support the further development of voluntary sustainability reporting in Europe. The videos include preparers from retail, manufacturing, IT consulting, business and professional services, and data processing across several European Union member states. They are available in original languages with English subtitles on EFRAG's Vimeo channel, with AI-powered translation also available. Reports submitted by SMEs will be used to identify emerging reporting practices, highlight good examples and support other businesses starting VSME reporting. Submissions are due by 31 July 2026. EFRAG said the input will feed into its VSME Ecosystem 2026 initiative, with key findings scheduled for publication in Autumn 2026.
