Bermuda’s Ministry of Finance announced that Premier and Minister of Finance David Burt is in Washington, DC leading a Bermudian delegation to the 2026 Spring Meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group, marking Bermuda’s first invitation to participate. The Premier participated in the Caribbean Ministerial Meeting at the IMF, with this year’s session focusing on the role of fiscal institutions in reducing public debt and rebuilding buffers, including policy actions and institutional reforms to strengthen fiscal frameworks across the Caribbean. The visit also includes outreach to Members of the United States Congress aimed at strengthening cooperation between the United States and Bermuda.
