The Central Bank of Libya said Governor Naji Mohammed Issa toured the Libya International Electronic Payment and Financial Technology Exhibition EPEX 2026, inspecting exhibition halls and participating booths on the event's first day. He reviewed services, technological solutions and innovations presented by institutions and companies in the electronic payments and financial technology sectors, and received briefings on digital products and services designed to promote financial inclusion and facilitate electronic transactions. The tour also covered future projects and initiatives that participating entities plan to implement in the next phase. In remarks during the visit, Issa stressed the need to keep pace with rapid developments in financial technology and said it plays a key role in digital transformation and in advancing the banking and financial sectors. He also pointed to the quality of participation at the exhibition as evidence of progress in digital services for individuals and institutions, and praised efforts to expand electronic payment methods to improve financial service efficiency and support economic development objectives.
