The Oman Financial Services Authority has officially launched the National Health Insurance Platform, Dhamani, stating that it is technically and legislatively ready following a successful pilot. The platform connects insurance companies and private healthcare institutions to exchange data and process health-insurance claims. Dhamani links all insurers with a network of hospitals, clinics and health centres and creates a unified medical file for each policyholder. The FSA reported that the platform processed around three million transactions in the first quarter of 2025 and is intended to streamline settlement, improve service quality, strengthen fraud detection and ensure data security. The authority referenced Decision No. 83/2023 regulating electronic links in health-insurance services and flagged further digital initiatives and legislative updates to develop the sector.
