The Egmont Group of Financial Intelligence Units announced that its 32nd Plenary meeting, alongside Working and Regional Group meetings, will take place in Baku, Azerbaijan, from 5 to 10 July 2026. The meetings will bring together financial intelligence units from around the world to support cooperation against money laundering, terrorist financing and related financial crime, with the Plenary serving as the group’s main decision-making forum. Hosted by the Financial Monitoring Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Plenary will bring Heads of FIU together for strategic dialogue, expertise-sharing and priority-setting, while the parallel group meetings will cover technical operational and policy discussions. The 2026 Plenary will include a thematic discussion on strengthening public-private partnerships, reflecting the need for closer collaboration between FIUs and other relevant stakeholders. The meetings are closed technical sessions, and the Egmont Group said public communications will provide only high-level information on the meetings and their outcomes.
