The Central Bank of Mongolia announced that Mongolia’s Parliament has approved a change in the bank’s leadership, relieving B. Lkhagvasuren of his duties as Governor upon completion of his term and appointing Sanjaa Narantsogt as the new Governor. The outgoing Governor formally handed over the duties and responsibilities of the office to Narantsogt. Narantsogt, born in 1973, holds undergraduate and master’s degrees from the National University of Mongolia and completed doctoral studies at Seoul National University. His recent senior roles include Director and Secretary General positions at the Ministry of Finance, Deputy Minister of Economic Development (2021–2022), and Chief Executive Officer of Erdenes Mongol LLC since 2022.
