China's National Financial Regulatory Administration activated a Level II insurance disaster emergency response following a landslide on the Nepal side of the border that caused casualties and missing persons at Gyirong Port in Tibet. The authority also directed banks to provide related financial support services. The Tibet Financial Regulatory Bureau sent a team to the disaster site. Insurers activated emergency plans, began identifying relevant coverage and supported local authorities and other agencies in disaster response work.
