The State Bank of Vietnam held the closing ceremony for its Department-level Planning Resource Officer Training Course, completing what it described as its first methodical and long-term oriented training programme for department-level planning officials. The central bank reviewed the course results and issued decisions recognising course completion for participants. The programme comprised 14 topics focused on three core competency areas: professional competence, management capacity and thinking ability, with teaching delivered by SBV party committee members, senior SBV leaders and experts. The course involved 128 trainees and concluded with commendations for 25 outstanding participants, while Governor Nguyen Thi Hong provided orientation on development strategies, long-term vision, major challenges and new requirements for the banking sector. Organisers noted that, as a first large-scale and long-duration programme, some aspects will be refined to improve the quality of future training.
