APRA notes that balance sheet data published before July 2019 appeared in the Monthly Banking Statistics, while data before March 2002 appeared in the Australian Banking Statistics. A series break is evident from March 2002 because reporting changes altered item coverage and definitions, including the treatment of resident and non-resident data, foreign currency transactions, and intra-group deposits and loans. The next release, covering April 2026, is scheduled for 31 May 2026.
